Brazil's main player today, striker Neymar received the first dose of the vaccine against the new coronavirus this Thursday in Paris, France. The star of the Brazilian team and Paris Saint-Germain published the moment on their social networks.
"After so much waiting, my turn came. How happy ...", wrote Neymar. "I hope that everything will return to normal as soon as possible and that not only my country BRAZIL but the whole world may be vaccinated", added the striker.
Neymar was not on the pitch against Monaco, in the French Cup final held on Wednesday, in which Paris Saint-Germain took the title by beating their opponents 2-0 at the Stade de France in Paris. He was suspended for taking a yellow card against Montpellier in the semifinal. The Brazilian himself claimed "persecution" at the time. The team appealed, but a committee of the French Football Federation (FFF) denied the suspensive effect.
Despite not being able to act, the Paris team won their 14th French Cup title (the sixth in the last seven editions), with the brightness of the French striker Kylian Mbappé. Neymar celebrated with his colleagues and took a shirt in honor of singer MC Kevin, who died last Sunday after falling the fifth floor of a building in Rio de Janeiro.
Paris Saint-Germain now turn their attention to the French Championship, there are still chances for another cup. The team occupies the second place in the leaderboard, behind only one point Lille, who leads with 80 points. There is only one round to the end of the tournament and all commitments will be made this Sunday.
Lille play for a victory over Angers, 12th place, as a visitor to be champion. Paris Saint-Germain will also play away home against Brest, who are in 16th place and are struggling to avoid relegation to the second division.
